Bhubaneswar: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) will start a shuttle bus service under the banner of ‘Mo Bus’ November 27, a day before the hockey World Cup kicks off here, to decongest roads leading to Kalinga Stadium, the venue of the event.
The city administration has demarcated the Janta Maidan to host the loads of two-wheelers and four-wheelers. As per the arrangement, the Janta Maidan would be available for free parking of vehicles while the shuttle buses given by the city administration would take their occupants to the event.
People can park their vehicles, and proceed to ‘Mo Bus Shuttle boarding point’ for going to venues of Kalinga Stadium and Exhibition Ground. The tariff for the Non-AC shuttle buses has been fixed at Rs 15 per person and for AC-shuttle at Rs 30 per person. For operating the citizen services, a crew of 40 bus captains, 60 bus guides, and 30 supervisory staff will be roped in. The service would be continuous for hockey enthusiasts, festival-goers and tourists interested to connect with the World Cup at Kalinga Stadium and Bhubaneswar City Festival.
CRUT is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) created by Housing & Urban Development (H & UD) Department, for providing Public Transport Services in master plan areas of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri.
