Mumbai: The ‘Jabariya Jodi’ actor Sidharth Malhotra has started shooting for ‘Shershaah’, biopic on Captain Vikram Batra. Sidharth took to his social media handles to share a couple of pictures of him enjoying a session of cricket.
Sharing the pictures, Sidharth wrote, “What weekends look like while you are shooting in the remote areas! In between shots for #Shershaah #ShootLife.”
The film is based on the story of Captain Vikram Batra, who laid down his life in the service of the nation while recapturing Indian territories from Pakistani intruders during the Kargil War in 1999. Because of his bravery, Batra was referred to as ‘Sher Shah’ (Lion King). The Kargil hero was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest war-time gallantry award.
The movie will also star ‘Kabir Singh’ fame Kiara Advani who will share the screen with Sidharth for the first time. Produced by Karan Johar, the film is directed by Vishnu Varadhan and written by Sandeep Srivastava.
