After commenting on the terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pulwama where at least 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred, Congress leader and minister in the Punjab government Navjot Singh Sidhu was sacked from ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. He will be replaced by Archana Puran Singh.
The responsibility of the attack was taken by Pakistan-backed terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. Giving a clean chit to Pakistan on the attack, Sidhu had said that due to few people the whole country can not be held guilty. It was a coward movement and I also oppose it but violence is always condemnable and those who have done it should be punished. Also Sidhu had said that the dispute between the two countries can be solved only by discussions.
This statement of Sidhu was being strongly opposed. Due to the presence of Sidhu, people were also demanding ban on the show.
The channel and show was dragged, so the team ambicably decide this. Earlier, also Sony TV ousted Anu Malik from the position of judge in Indian Idol 10 after his name surfaced in the MeToo campaign.
