“I never expected any medal in the event at Doha. I was a bit nervous because of lack of practice. But my coach Sita Prasad Patnaik gave me a lot of confidence. He told me to concentrate on the performance and not to worry about the results. That helped me a lot,” Pramila told the reporters. “I will take two weeks rest to recover from my efforts and then prepare for the upcoming National Games,” she added.
Pramila secured the second position in the 53 kg weight category of the girls’ segment by lifting a total of 177 kg. She lifted 76kg in snatch and 101 kg in clean and jerk.
