Notably, the six family members were found dead in their house at Saharapada village under this police limits in the district, Wednesday. The deceased were Bulu Jani, his wife, their two sons and two daughters.

The couple and their children had migrated from neighbouring Jharkhand and had been residing here for the last ten years. Later, a few more families of their community also migrated and settled in the same locality. Bulu had driven away some of the families from here as they were frequently engaged in altercations.

Only a distant relative of Bulu was staying beside his house. Bulu usually had been collecting and selling honey in the nearby areas. There was a quarrel among the families for unknown reasons.

“We are not sure as to whether the family members died by suicide or were murdered. The actual reason behind their deaths can be ascertained after the post-mortem reports come in,” the IIC added.
