Puri: The ritual sub-committee of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has finalised the timetable for the Debasnana Purnima ritual of the presiding deities June 28.
As per the decision taken by the sub-committee, servitors will perform the Pahandi ritual of deities from 5.30 am to 7.30 am.
The Snana (bathing) ritual of the deities will be performed at the Snana Mandap by 2 pm. “The Hatibesa (elephant attire) ritual of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra will be performed from 4 pm to 5 pm,” said a temple official.
As per the timetable, the Sahanamela Darshan of the deities will be conducted from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
Sources said the sub-committee put emphasis on the timely completion of rituals and smooth darshan for the devotees.
Notably, there was some mismanagement during the Snana and Hatibesa rituals of the deities last year.
