BHUBANESWAR: Human right activist and President of a leading socio-cultural organization Niladrivihar Youth & Cultural Association Prakash Chandra Panigrahi was conferred with the prestigious Banki Bikartan Title for his untiring effort for the cultural upliftment and humanitarian services for last 25 years at Banki Club here Sunday.
In a glittering function arranged for the purpose under the chairmanship of the local MLA & president of the Mahotsav Pravat Tripathy and under the direct supervision of the General Secretary Ganeswar Swain Prakash, Panigrahi has been honored with a shawl, bronze image of Rani Sukadei, flower bouquet & citation by the Chief Guest of the event Chandra Sarathi Behera, state minister of Sports & Youth Services.
Behera said, “It is to be mentioned here that Prakash, a native of Gahirgadia of Banki, was the General Secretary of Banki College Students’ Union (1990-91) and worked in public oriented activities by uniting the youths of the locality for the last 25 years by establishing a voluntary organization named Niladrivihar Youth & Cultural Association. His social work has encouraged many to follow the same path.
