Bhubaneswar: A Special Operation Group (SOG) jawan died in road mishap near S.O.G Training Centre at Chandaka Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Satrughna Ganda, 26, who was posted at Malkangiri. Ganda was reportedly staying at the training center for the past couple of months.
According to sources, he and another jawan, identified as M Dharmaraj Reddy, were returning on a motor-cycle to the training center. Meanwhile, a speeding car coming from the opposite direction collided with their bike leaving Ganda and Reddy severely injured.
The onlookers rushed them to Capital Hospital where the doctors declared Ganda ‘dead’. Reddy has been undergoing treatment at the hospital till the last news came in.
