Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has become the latest to join the group of past and present cricketers who have blasted Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for his speech at the United Nations. During his speech Imran Khan had mocked the infrastructure in the United States stating, “You have to go to China and see the way their infrastructure is. In New York, I am watching the car bumping around here.”
This part of Imran Khan’s speech was picked up by American TV anchors who blasted Imran Khan for his comments. One of them said, “You don’t sound like the prime minister of Pakistan, you sound like a welder from the Bronx.”
During his speech, Imran Khan made comments which were not liked by a lot of cricketers. Some of them even wrote that this not the Imran they knew when he was a cricketer. The latest to join the bandwagon was former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly.
“Viru.. I see this and I am shocked… a speech which is unheard of… a world which needs peace, Pakistan as a country needs it the most… and the leader speaks such rubbish… not the Imran khan the cricketer world knew… speech in UN was poor,” Sourav Ganguly replied on Sehwag’s tweet.
Earlier Mohammed Shami, Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Khan had also slammed Imran Khan for his speech at the UN. They all stated that Imran should refrain from spreading hatred. Here’s what they had to say.
