Bhubaneswar, Dec 3: Tipped by many as the ‘dark horse’ of the tournament, Belgium is keen to make a mark here in Champions Trophy.
After going through a grueling practice session Wednesday, captain John-John Dohmen expressed happiness over the condition of the pitch and said his team will try to win as many matches as they can to keep the spirit of the team alive.
“Winning every match will be very difficult but will try to win most of the matches and keep our spirits alive. All of us will try to give our best shot in the tournament,” he said.
Belgium, who face Pakistan in their first match of the tournament are hopeful of living up to their billing and successfully enter the next round of the tournament.
Fourth-ranked team of the world is sweating out every day during their training to keep their spirits alive for the tournament.
While stretchinig out after practice session, Belgian player Thomas Briels s revealed that the team working on its weak areas and it has been able to introduce the improvements on the field. “We are working on those areas where we are lacking. Over time, having practiced rigorously, we have successfully started implementing our strategies on the field.”
