New Delhi: The Supreme Court (SC) Tuesday dismissed an interlocutory application (IA) seeking CBI probe into the deals related to sale of Srimandir properties and alleged irregularities by the amicus curiae.
A three-judge bench of Justices Madan B Lokur, Deepak Gupta and Hemant Gupta heard and dismissed the application observing that the petitioner cannot make personal allegations on amicus curiae and other officials.
Notably, advocate Debasis Misra had filed the IA seeking action against the amicus curiae, Gopal Subramaniam, chief administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration and others for the alleged irregularities.
Misra had also sought a probe by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the deals related to sale of the Jagannath temple properties and also urged the court to impose a stay on further sale of the properties.
