The final vacancy list of Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2023 has been released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) at the official website –ssc.nic.in.
A total of 8,415 vacancies are to be filled in multiple departments by the SSC CGL recruitment drive. Earlier, the number of vacancies was 7,500. Candidates can check the final vacancies as well as fill out the option-cum-preference form accordingly between November 18 and November 21 on the official website, the commission notified.
The SSC in a statement has said that candidates who do not submit the option-cum-preference will not be considered for any post in the final result. Before the deadline the candidates will also have the provision to change their service preferences, SSC added.
The candidates who have appeared in SSC CGL tier-II are required to mandatorily exercise their option-cum-preferences for consideration of their candidature in the final merit list or the final selection in CGLE-2023.
SSC will analyse the available positions for candidates based on their rank within their respective categories and subsequently compile the final result for SSC CGL 2023.
Successfully shortlisted candidates will be assigned to various positions, including Assistant Section Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer Group ‘B’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial), Assistant, Inspector (Preventive Officer), Inspector Posts, Sub Inspector (CBI), Assistant/Assistant Superintendent, and Research Assistant.
In its announcement regarding option-cum-preference applications, SSC emphasized that PwBD candidates must ensure they prioritise only those positions identified as suitable for their specific disabilities.
The allocation of positions will adhere to the examination notice’s provisions, following the ‘merit-cum-preference of posts’ criteria, as stated by SSC. It further mentioned that if a PwBD candidate is selected for a position not recognised as suitable for their disabilities, the concerned user department reserves the right to cancel the candidate’s candidature.
