State bags cleanliness award

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government was Friday conferred with “Most improved big state for cleanliness” by India Today Group. Panchayati Raj Minister Pratap Jena, on behalf of Chef Minister, received the award from Union Minister Prakash Javadekar at Kamal Mahal in New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Jena said, “Under the visionary leadership of our Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Odisha is on the fast pace of inclusive growth and development, setting national and global benchmarks for others to emulate.”

“We are humbled by this recognition, which adds another feather to our cap. We will be further encouraged to strive hard to create a clean, green and beautiful new Odisha,” he stated.
