Bhubaneswar: With only 10 days to go for the state government’s ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative to come into force October 2, Health Minister Naba Kishore Das Thursday held a review meeting with the CDMOs over video conferencing at the Lok Seva Bhawan here.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the minister said, “The Chief Minister has announced the launch of ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative from October 2. Under this initiative, we’ll collect feedback from all the visitors at OPD. That is why, I have directed all the CDMOs to provide the best possible healthcare services to the visiting patients.”
“The hygiene at the hospitals along with other supporting services are being carried out under the NIRMAL Yojana. We have decided to task a Joint Secretary to monitor this scheme. Another high-level official will be entrusted with monitoring the implementation of ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative,” Das added.
The minister further informed that the officials will conduct surprise checks at hospitals to verify if the directions of the government are being implemented fully. “We will visit the hospitals and gather feedback from the patients and have direct interaction with them to collect feedback. Even the Chief Minister will directly call some of the people to get their feedback. Immediate action will be taken against erring officials,” he assured.
