State nod to VRS plea of Aparajita Sarangi

Bhubaneswar: The state government has given its nod to senior IAS officer Aparajita Sarangi who has applied for VRS.

As Sarangi is free from any vigilance issue vigilance and no departmental proceedings are pending or contemplated against her, the state government has approved the application of the officer for VRS. The general administration department has informed the decision to Union ministry of personnel, public grievances and training, sources said here Wednesday.

Sarangi had served three months’ notice for VRS September 15 as per service rules to the Chief Secretary and requested that her case be recommended to the central government for necessary approval.

Sarangi, a 1994 batch Odisha cadre officer, is serving as joint secretary (MGNREGA) in Ministry of rural development. But, her five-year tenure on central deputation ended in August.
