Bhubaneswar: Odisha government is planning to formulate a policy for the promotion, conservation and protection of culture and heritage of the state.
A meeting to chalk out the policy was held Friday in Bhubaneswar under the Chairmanship of Odia Language Literature and Culture Secretary Manoranjan Panigrahi.
The proposed Policy would have detail provision for a vision for future, research on art, music, cultural tourism, library movement, archaeology, archives, language, literature, welfare programmes for artisans and artistes.
Setting up of regional cultural centres, and initiatives for the development of traditional dance, music, stage and drama would also find a place in the proposed policy, Panigrahi said.
