Bhubaneswar: Amid huge number of pending applications for Driving License (DL) test and Learning License (LL) test, the State Transport Authority (STA) has decided to resume the tests soon under strict observance of COVID-19 guidelines.
In a letter, K.C. Muduli, Under Secretary to Government said “I am directed to say that Government has been pleased to allow resumption of skill test for DL & computerized LL test.”

The official said, “We will start the tests by observing all the COVID-19 guidelines such as safety protocols, maintaining physical distancing, use of face mask, no spitting at public place etc which have been issued by Health and Family Welfare Department.”
The Transport Commissioner has been authorised to issue necessary operational guidelines to conduct the DL/LL test and decide the number of persons to be called for such test in a day in a staggered way keeping in view the physical distancing norms, added the official.
Notably, the STA had stopped the DL and LL test from last six months amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
