STF arrests two interstate drug peddlers

Bhubaneswar: A team of STF along with the Commissionerate of Police Bhubaneswar have apprehended two interstate accused drug peddlers from Bharatpur police limits of Bhubaneswar and seized more than 185 kg, of ganja, two cars and other incriminating materials from their possession.

STF sources here Sunday said on the basis of intelligence input, a joint raid was conducted by a team of STF, BBSR and Bhubaneswar Commissionerate Police at Ghatikia near the Odisha University of Technology Research Centre, under Bharatpur police station area and arrested the accused Saturday.

STF identified the accused as Mansingh Yadav of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh and Mukesh Kumar Yadav of Siwan, Bihar.

At present both are residing at Ganeswarpur under Balasore Industrial Police Station of Balasore district.

A case has been registered at Bharatpur Police Station for necessary legal action. U/s.20(b)(ii)(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985. An investigation is on.

Since 2020, STF has seized more than 68 Kg of Brown Sugar, 202 Gram Cocaine, and more than 113 quintals of Ganja 750 grams of opium and arrested more than 168 drug peddlers.
