Kendrapara: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has requested Kendrapara court to shift notorious gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito from Barimula sub-jail.
Tito has been lodged at Barimula sub-jail as an under-trial prisoner since July.
Within this period, the police, crime branch, and vigilance have named Tito in 12 cases lodged at Kendrapara and other courts.
It was easy for the police to produce Tito for court hearings because the Barimula sub-jail is situated near the court.
However, the police made the appeal before the court to shift Tito from Barimula because they suspected that the criminal is operating his crime syndicate from the jail.
Notably, the STF June 30 raided the house of Tito at Dilwarpur and arrested him along with his six associates while they were planning a robbery.
