Koraput: Acting on a tip-off, the Special Task Force (STF) detected and cracked down a case of illegal circulation of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) at Similiguda-Sunabeda bus stand in Koraput district Wednesday evening.

Police arrested a man named Anam Khilo, son of Ghasi Khilo, who is a resident of Lekiguda village under Nandapur block limits in the district in this connection, police sources said.
FICN of Rs 3,28,300 including other incriminating instruments were seized from his possession. Sunabeda police registered a case (No.-182/25.11.2020) in this connection under Sections 489-A/489-B, 489-C and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Police have also launched a detail probe into the case.
