Kendrapara: A two-member team of the Special Task Force visited Kendrapara Tuesday to collect documents from the district administration in the STF PS case No. 10.
STF Inspector Sabitri Acharya, who is the investigating officer (IO) of STF PS case No. 10, and Alakarani Panda, another Inspector of STF, visited the Sub Collector’s office at the Kendrapara Collectorate to collect documents to know what steps have been taken by the district administration to check the illegal encroachment of 36 guntha land by Tito and his associates, and whether Section 144 CrPC was clamped on Tito or his associates earlier.
But as the Sub Collector was absent, the STF personnel returned without the documents. Instead, the STF personnel collected information about the associates of Tito from the SDPO office.
The IO of STF case No. 10 also filed an application in the SDJM court of Kendrapara Tuesday for a certified copy of the FIR and CS in STF PS case No. 10 against Tito alias Sayed Ushman Ali, Suvendu Patri and others, STF sources said.
It may be noted that after failing to get justice from the local as well as the Kendrapara police, one Gobinda Chandra Mohanty, a resident of Fatehpur, Sarojini Mishra of Kujanga area and others of Golden Land Development approached the STF, Bhubaneswar, alleging that Tito and his associates forcibly occupied 36 guntha land worth Rs 1.44 crore beside NH-5(A) near Gopa Chowk and stacked sand and stone chips, and when they protested they were threatened with a pistol.
The STF had registered a case (Case No. 10/2018 dated 12.07.18) under Sections 447, 506, 120 (b), 34 IPC and Sections 25, 27 of the Arms Act against Tito, Kamalakanta Chaini, Muna, Sappo, Dilsad Ali, Chitto, Bapu, Fazaz Khan and 15 others.
Four persons, including Tito were arrested in STF PS case No. 10. The arrested include Kamalakanta alias Kamalesh Chaini of Purusottampur village, Babula alias Suvendu Patri of Badabaranga and Sayeed Khan of Odia Bazaar in Lalbag police station area.
