Telkoi: Following incessant rains, water flowed three feet above Pitanali bridge in Keonjhar district disrupting traffic Thursday.
It was difficult for students of Adarsh Vidyalaya Wednesday afternoon as they were stranded at the school as they could not go back home.
Teachers sought help of firefighters who swung into action and helped the students cross over the bridge on the creek with the help of ropes.
The model school has 320 students from Class VI to Class X. Principal RK Dutt said unless the height of the bridge over Pitanali is raised, students will continue to face commuting difficulties.
