Street play, pageant enthral all at Orion

BHUBANESWAR: The concluding day of Orion was kick started with a blast as Rang Manch, a street play competition, took place where theatre groups from seven colleges had participated to showcase their talent with each team successfully conveying strong social messages.

The judges of the competition were Akash Das Nayak, Hon’ble MLA, Korei, and Arunansh Shokeen, co-founder Natya Ustaad, a Delhi based theatre group. “All the performances were really though-provoking and the artistes did a fantastic job,” said Asutosh Mohapatr, a spectator of RangManch.

After the completion of RangManch, Alfaaz, a slam poetry competition, took place where budding poets and writers from all over the state had participated to showcase their talent. The judge of the event was Gaurav Tripathi, an eminent poet and writer, whose work has been nationally appreciated.

The evening main stage events lined up were Celestia, a fashion show, and a Celebrity Night which had a live performance by Stebin Ben. Teams from various educational institutions had participated in this competition which was judged by Shrutiksha Nayak, Miss Odisha India 2018.
