BHUBANESWAR: Youth For Seva (YFS), a non-for-profit organization, organised a cleanliness dive and street play at two different locations to promote Swach Bharat Abhiyan on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Around hundred volunteers of the organisation as well as students of ITER and IIIT College participated at the event.
The program commenced with cleaning of caves in Khandagari and Udaygiri. This was followed by street plays at Railway Station and Capital Hospital.
State Coordinator of YFS Subrat Kumar Pattnayak told Orissa POST, “India is a developing country. Youth comprise 60% of the population. The organisation is creating awareness among people on various topics. Members of the organisation and students are very eager to give their leisure time for the development of our nation.”
Suranjeeta Sengupta, a student of IIIT Bhubaneswar said, “Our team Aakanksh is proud of presenting a street play to depict the results of the cleanliness drive.”
