Cuttack: Tension prevailed in the National Law University Odisha (NLUO) here after a second year girl student was found hanging inside her hostel room under mysterious circumstances. The student was rushed to the SCB Medical College and Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Sources said that the deceased was a native of Haryana.
Hostel inmates and students have demanded a proper investigation in the matter. They suspected foul play as the deceased was jovial person. Police however, have not ruled out suicide also. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death and have begun their probe. They are looking into all the angles and have talked to some of the batch mates of the deceased.
The deceased’s family members have been informed of the tragedy.
