Cuttack, Dec 15: First year postgraduate students of Ravenshaw University, appearing for their back papers, walked out of the examination hall after they were found the questions were set out of syllabus.
The university authorities, meanwhile, have cancelled the examination and announced a reexamination afresh.
The authorities seem to be in no mood to learn from their mistakes with a spate of such incidents coming to the fore with faulty questions, wrong question format and irregularities in the examinations.
The students taking their back papers alleged the questions were set from the new curriculum instead of old one.
Following vociferous protests from the students, the examination controller assured them of reexamination afresh with revised questions. “This is not the only incident, but several other papers have also been cancelled this semester that began December 5 due to irregularities on the part of the university authorities concerned,” the students alleged.
