Bhubaneswar: A three-day Summer art camp and painting exhibition organised by Odisha Lalit Kala Academi at the interpretation centre in Khandagiri here concluded Sunday.
State Culture Minister Ashok Panda and MP Prasanna Patsani graced the valedictory event and felicitated the participating artists.
Appreciating the efforts of the organizers Patsani said, “Resilient efforts by the state government and Odisha Lalit Kala Academi have made the event fruitful. Such events should be conducted frequently to hone skills of our artists”.
A musical programme was held to entertain art lovers on the occasion. Singer Antara Chakravarthy sang some foot-tapping numbers of Hindi as well as Odia movies that set the ambience into a lyrical one.
Odisha Lalit Kala Academi president Raghunath Mahapatra and secretary Manas Ranjan Jena were present at the event. Mahapatra announced that the state government and Lalit Kala Academi will organise more such events in future to showcase the true art of Odisha.
