Summer camp to keep Capital kids engrossed

Bhubaneswar: Shree Ram International School (SRIS) will be holding its 19-day-long 7th Summer Camp from May 6 to 24 at its complex in Sishu Vihar, Patia here.
The camp will have two groups— Seniors (8 to 13 years) and Juniors (3 to 7 years)—with different types of activities like Dance & Fitness, Art & Craft, Splash pool/Swimming, Gardening, Flameless cooking, Pottery, Clay modeling, Storytelling/ Theatrics, Conceptual learning, Quiz and Field trips too.
The camp has been carefully crafted to keep the kids enthralled and excited. It aims at imbibing discipline and life-skills in the kids with fun-filled activities designed to bring out the creative acumen in the children. They get to befriend peers from other schools. The skill associated with mingling and enjoying with new children is another new ability they acquire, said an organising member.
The organisers will be providing transport facilities to the participating kids. Breakfast will be provided at the camp which is fully air-conditioned eyeing the scorching summer.

Several schools in the Capital have started various activities in the form of summer camps. Some of the schools have been closed for summer vacation. The remaining ones would be closed by end of this week. SRIS is one of them that is now organising a summer camp. Principal of the school, Puspanjali Mishra, said that they are offering dance, theater, craft and other such fun and creative activities for the kids at affordable rates. Many students have enrolled for these activities and things have started, she added. With the closure of all the schools, more and more students would enroll soon, she said.
