Paradip: Damodar Rout’s first visit to his constituency Friday after being expelled from the party seemed to have no impact on his supporters.
Reaching the Biju Memorial Trust building at Paradip new bazaar, Rout found most of his followers including well known faces absent. However, he managed the scene and held discussions with those who were present.
Rout returned after holding discussions with ward number-16 councilor and his nephew Chittaranjan Routray, ward number-17 councilor Jagannath Rao, MLA’s representative Ullash Biswal, BJD Youth President Alok Mohapatra and Municipality vice chairperson Prabhati Nayak.
When asked about the absence of his supporters and followers, Rout said in an assertive tone that all are with him.
When contacted, Municipality BJD President Sumant Kumar Biswal said he was not aware of Rout’s visit.
