Bhubaneswar: Automobile manufacturer Tata Motors Friday has driven in the ‘Tata Harrier’, its latest SUV, into the Odisha market. The model was officially introduced at an event held at Trupti Enterprises near Baramunda Friday.
Tata Motors Regional Manager (Odisha, Chhattisgarh), Shishir Shrivastava, said: “Our new product is the best in class SUV in terms of size and features. The Harrier is based on the all-new OMEGARC modular platform and will also get the new 2.0-litre diesel engine under the hood. The Tata Harrier is equipped with unique features that are not available in other SUVs of the same range. It ranges in price from Rs 12.69 lakh to Rs 16.39 lakh (ex-showroom Bhubaneswar). Harrier will be available in the 5-seater version, one of the most anticipated offerings of the year.” He added that the SUV is available in four variants namely XE, XM, XT and XZ, with 6-Speed Manual Transmission.
Tata Motors has introduced the product to take on established rivals, including the Hyundai Creta, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500, Renault Captur and Nissan Kicks. The Harrier’s oil burner is tuned for 140 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque, paired with the 6-speed manual transmission.
The Harrier is loaded will all-new features including semi-digital instrument console, floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, multiple driving modes and a terrain response system.
Dealer Principal of Trupti Enterprises Suvendu Mohanty, TML senior managers Rupendra Kumar and Raj Bhatt and CEO of Trupti Group Srikant Mishra were present at the city launch.
