Paralakhemundi: The district collector’s passion for teaching was evident when he took Geography classes for the students at Mahendragiri Municipal High School in Paralakhemundi.
During his visit to the school, Gajapati collector Anupam Saha taught Geography for Class IX students.
The move was part of the noble initiative ‘Teach Gajapati’, launched by the district administration to impart education and to inspire people who want to contribute a part of their time for voluntary teaching in the state.
“Anybody can come forward to lend a helping hand for such a noble cause. Under the banner of ‘Mo School Abhiyan’, we have started an initiative called ‘Teach Gajapati’. Under this initiative, anyone who is passionate to impart voluntary education as per their interests and qualification can come and teach some chapters on the basis of requirements,” said Saha .
“I took Geography class and students here are really good and responded well. It is a positive sign. We have good quality students and with some quality grooming and encouragement they will certainly perform well,” he added.
Meanwhile, the students were happy that they got a chance to learn from the collector.
