Teenager among two held for drug peddling

Bhubaneswar: The Special Crime Unit of Twin City Commissionerate Police Friday seized 150 gram of brown sugar and arrested two persons, including a teenager, in this connection. The street value of the seized contraband is estimated to be Rs 15 lakh, said a senior cop, adding that two mobile phones and a two-wheeler used for peddling, have been seized from the possession of the accused. Twin City Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda said the duo, identified as Sk Chand, 19, and Ram Soren, 24, are residents of Arada Bazar in Balasore district. The duo, who failed to clear the matric exam, might have delved into the drug business to earn quick bucks. But their plan was foiled and they were arrested before delivering the first consignment here.
