Tension at Capital Hospital over CT Scan report

Bhubaneswar: Tension erupted at the CT scan department at the Capital hospital between the staff and an elderly patient over a brain scanning report here. The tension came to an end after the intervention of the policemen of the outpost at the hospital.

According to sources, the elderly man, Mantosh Kumar Haldar, who came to the hospital for treatment for some ailment, was advised by a lady doctor at the hospital to do a CT scan of his brain Thursday afternoon. Accordingly Haldar went to the CT scan section of the hospital where the authorities do the scanning at around 3.41pm. They asked Haldar to come after at least two hours later to get the report.

However, Haldar demanded the report immediately within few minutes. He started verbally abusing the staff including a woman technician who was present there. Haldar, on the other hand, claimed that he needed the report early as the doctor would leave.  The staff soon brought the matter to the notice of the police officials at the outpost.
