There is a community named Dhurva in Chhattisgarh which performs a unique practice according to their tradition.
The couple revolves around the fire seven times and takes vows to be partners throughout the life. People belonging to this community use to perform Puja of an utensil containing water and several trees on various occasions. They also conduct marriages between brothers and sisters. However, they do not seek the permission of the parents of bride or groom. Only the consent of bride and groom matters.
