This is how your blood type affects your health

Blood group is something that people inherit from their parents. Although one might feel that they have nothing to do with their health, one’s blood type is a great indicator for the kind of diseases that they could develop.

Memory

People with AB blood type are more prone to cognitive impairment. According to one study, 82% people with this blood type are likely to develop thinking problems leading to dementia. Another study suggests that older people with AB blood type find it difficult to remember and recall things as compared to the others.

Heart disease

People with O blood type have a 60% lower risk of heart diseases as compared to others. A study revealed that people with non-O blood type are at a higher risk of heart diseases. This, however, can be influenced by eating the right kind of foods and following a healthy lifestyle.

Stomach cancer

AB blood type people have some bad news in this regard because they are at a higher risk of stomach cancer. According to a study about health ailments, AB blood type people have a 26% higher risk of developing this disease.

Ulcers

The bacterium which increases stomach cancer risk in AB blood type people also affects the risk of ulcers in people with O blood type. The substances present in people with this blood type modify the body’s response to the bacterium. But it is not clear how.

 Pancreatic cancer

Here’s good news for people with O blood type as they are 37% less likely to develop pancreatic cancer.
