No doubt, Superstar Salman Khan has dated many beautiful ladies till now but none of them became his life partner. The actor is still an eligible bachelor at 53 and his fans are eagerly anticipating the moment when their dear Sallu bhai will get hitched.
Among his affairs, the one with Sangeeta Bijlani was a prominent one. The two were madly in love and were planning to get married. Despite the fact that Salman’s love life has always been in news he was very genuine about his feelings for the actresses.
In fact, Sangeeta was the first women ever he wanted to settle down with. But, things didn’t fall into place and they drifted apart.
Jasim Khan, who has penned Salman’s biography ‘Being Salman’, stated that the two had finalised their wedding dates too.
Salman and Sangeeta were to get married May 27, 1994. However the event was cancelled all of a sudden and the wedding preparations stalled halfway. The reason behind it was Salman’s growing fondness for Somi Ali.
Sangeeta was hurt by Salman’s infidelity and even confessed in an interview that he is not worth marrying.
Afterward, on Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’, Salman revealed that his marriage was called off after his ‘life partner’ had found him in association with other women.
In the end, Sangeeta met cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin and fell in love with him. Azhar even divorced his first wife Naureen to marry Sangeeta. The two finally got hitched in 1996, just to get separated in 2010.
