Currently rising prices of petrol and diesel have left a hole in the pockets of the common people. Meanwhile, a bike has come to the forefront which runs with air pressure. The bike’s pictures are becoming increasingly viral on social media. Not only this, it is being claimed that by filling only air in this bike worth as less as Rs 5, it can safely run for 45 kms. The bike clocks a speed of 70-80 km per hour.

The man behind this one of a kind innovation and transport gem is Director General (Technical) of the School of Management Sciences, Prof. Bharat Raj Singh. He is a resident of Lucknow and had been working on the machine for years.

Prof. Bharat Raj Singh told, ‘In 2008 I had filed a patent for the air-bike. It has been patented for 10 years. Now this bike will be extended and manufactured under the ‘Make in India’ initiative. On 22 June 2010, America flashed it in front of 192 countries through different media platforms.’

During a time, when the ever-increasing prices of petrol and diesel are taking a toll on people’s transport bills, this innovation is surely a welcome change and is expected to come in handy for people looking to save on fuel costs.
