Three bodies recovered under mysterious circumstances

Dhamnagar/Puri/Baripda: Three bodies of men were reportedly found from different parts of the state Tuesday.
A body was found lying by the roadside near Nayaksahi under Dhamnagar block in Bhadrak district Tuesday.

Upa Gochhayat of Dhusuri, a retired fourth grade employee of Health Department and owner of a band party, who had attended a feast at Nayaksahi, was found dead.

Villagers suspected that the death might have occurred while he was returning home after the feast.

On being informed, Dhusuri police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.

In a separate incident, the body of an elderly man was found on the beach near Shree Chitanya Chhak in Puri Tuesday morning.

However, the deceased is yet to be identified.

According to reports, some locals first spotted the body and informed the police.

Locals said the elderly man, aged between 60 and 70 years, might have come to the city for a darshan of Lord Jagannath.

In yet another incident, the body of a 65-year-old man was found floating in the Jambira river near Gholamuhan under Morada block in Mayurbhanj district Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Baidhar Hembram of Bhorungasula village near Suliapada.

His family members said Baidhar had gone to his in-law’s house near Chitrada.
