Bhadrak: In a tragic fire mishap, as many as three Odisha Special Armed Police (OSAP) jawans were critically injured in Bhadrak district Monday.
The injured jawans have been identified as Manoranjan Ghadei, Sangaram Tudu and Ganesh Nayak and they are presently undergoing treatment at Bhadrak district headquarters hospital (DHH).
They are stated to be in critical condition and at any moment they can be shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital.
Taking to his twitter handle, Bhadrak District Collector Gyana Das said the CDMO has been requested support for treatment.
“We are attending to them at DHH. CDMO has been requested for all support for treatment. We wish them speedy recovery,” read the tweet.
According to a source, the injured jawans belonged to the OSAP 5th Battalion, Baripada. They were on duty at Puruna Bazar Police Station in Bhadrak district.
It was when they were asleep in the barrack that the mishap occurred early in the morning. Preliminary investigation revealed that the mosquito net had caught fire from a burning mosquito repellent coil that the jawans had placed nearby.
