Thrilling win for Sundargarh

Cuttack, Jan 5: Gajapati, Paradeep, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh and Bhubaneswar-A registered victories in their respective matches of the Sumit Bose Memorial OCA U-16 Inter-District cricket tournament at different grounds here Monday.

At the Sunshine Ground, Sundargarh beat Khurda by one run. Put into bat first, Sundargarh  scored 208 all out in 47.5 overs, thanks to a fluent knock by Saroj Minz (82 n o). Roshan Prasad (4/15) bowled well for Khurda. In reply, Khurda chased well, but couldn’t handle the pressure during the end overs and finished on 207 all out.

(At Bidanasi Ground): Boudh 134 (Manas Pattnaik 60 n o; Siraj Box 5/21) lost to Dhenkanal 135/3 (B Surya Roshan 55 n o) by seven wickets.

(At SCB Ground): Nayagarh 116 lost to Jharsuguda 117/7 (Shraban Singh 48) by three wickets.

(DRIEMS Ground): Bolangir 73 (Sushil Barik 3/9, Aniket Patnaik 3/13) lost to Bhubaneswar-A 75/4 (Bruti Sundar Sahoo-3/14) by six wickets.
