Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Friday sounded thunderstorm and lightning alert for seven districts of Odisha till 1.30 pm.
“Latest Doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and moderate rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Kendrapara till 1.30 pm”, the MeT office said.
The weatherman also cautioned the people in these districts to stay indoors and take shelter during the period as a precautionary measure.
