Tipsy headmaster, asst teachers transferred for intimidating students

Baliguda: Tumudibandh block education officer (BEO) Sunday transferred a headmaster along with two assistant teachers of an upper primary school after finding them guilty of intimidating students under the influence of alcohol.

According to a source, the headmaster of Government Upper Primary School at Tumudibandh in Kandhamal district reached the school in an inebriated state few days ago. He started hurling filthy abuses at the students while they were about to have their mid-day meals. The panicked students left the school without having food.

A complaint against the headmaster was lodged on this context. Tumudibandh BEO Uddhab Charan Nayak and three ABEOs reached the school and spoke to the students over the issue.

Action was taken against three teachers including the headmaster after the allegations against them were found to be true. They have been transferred vide letter no-1045/2-8-2019.

According to the notification, Rushi Kumar Nayak of the school has been transferred to Danungia primary school. Seemanchal Nayak of Danungia primary school has replaced him. Prafulla Kumar Sahu and Chitta Ranjan Pradhan have been transferred to Padikia Colony Upper Primary School and Athabadi School respectively. Alaka Kumari Nayak and Bimbadhar Sahu have replaced Sahu and Pradhan at Tumudibandh Government Upper Primary School.
