Tensa: In a bone-chilling incident, police Sunday evening arrested a man for killing his three minor children and throwing their bodies into a well at Kula Munda slum under Koida police limits in Sundargarh district.
The man was hiding in a forest after killing his three kids aged 5, 2 and a two-month-old baby girl. The accused has been identified as Pandu Munda, 21, husband of Dhobali Munda, 20. According to sources, Pandu lived with his wife Dhobali and three children including elder daughter Seema Munda, 5, son Raju Munda, 2, and a two-month-old baby girl.
Pandu Saturday night returned home in an inebriated state and allegedly broke out in a fight with his wife. Things escalated after tipsy Pandu killed his three minor children and dumped the bodies in a well near their house.
His wife alerted villagers who then called the cops Sunday morning. The bodies were fished out from the well with the help of fire personnel and sent them for autopsy while Pandu escaped and was hiding in a jungle near the village.
Police, with the help of villagers, Sunday evening arrested and forwarded him to court. He was later remanded to judicial custody.
