Brahmagiri: The increased water level in Chilika due to high tides in the sea triggered by Titli has caused panic among villagers.
The increasing water level in Chilika has also created a sea mouth at Arakhakuda. This apart, water has entered Arakhakuda, Sanpatna, Mirjapur, Gabkund and Sipakuda villages.
The villagers are worried that the situation could be more severe as the sea will remain turbulent for a couple of hours.
