Puri: Passengers waiting at city railway station here ran helter-skelter when the engine of Purusottam Express hit the fag end of Platform No. 3 Wednesday. The collision was so intense that it shook the entire station. Hearing the thud, passengers ran for cover. A portion of the platform was damaged due to the impact of the collision. “We have ordered a probe into the incident,” said station director PK Parichha. Insiders, meanwhile, claimed that the mishap might be the cause of either technical glitches or mistake on the part of the loco pilot.
