BHUBANESWAR: The 15th edition of ‘International conference on Distributed Computing and Internet Technology’ ICDCIT-2019 kick started at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology here Thursday.
From its inception in 2004, ICDCIT conference series has been a global platform for Computer Science researchers to exchange research results and ideas on the foundations and applications of Distributed Computing and Internet Technology. ICDCIT-2019 consists of three different Satellite Events along with main conference ICDCIT-2019 named as 9th Student Research Symposium.
In response to the call for submission, ICDCIT 2019 has received 121 full papers from different countries and these were reviewed by an International Program committee. Finally, 32 papers were accepted for presentation and consequent publication proceedings. Out of the 32 selected papers, five are from authors from Germany, China, Austria and USA.
The 15th International conference on Distributed Computing and Internet Technology ICDCIT-2019 would be accompanied by multiple satellite events as a platform to showcase the recent trends in research and development activities in the field of distributed computing and internet technology.
The 9th Industry symposium means to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners from industry concerning the challenges, findings, encountered obstacles and lessons learned on recent global trends in technology. Internet of Things- enabling technologies, security and social implications have been identified as focus areas. In total 11 papers got submitted and 6 papers got selected for final presentation.
In response to the call for submission to the 8th Project Innovation Contest a total 125 projects were received from 16 states (New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Odisha, Telangana, Rajasthan) and 3 countries (India, Nepal, and Italy) out of the received projects 48 projects have been selected after double blind review process to be included in the proceedings.
In response to the call for papers for 9th Student Research Symposium, papers were submitted by research students from different premier institutes of the country and 10 out of them have been selected for oral presentation. Selected papers of the symposium have been accepted for publication in the International Journal of Information Technology and will be Published by Springer and enlisted in the approved list of UGC.
