Mumbai: Yeh Teri Galiyan actor Avinash Mishra feels that TV actors are no less than film stars and that they have it in them to succeed on the big screen, too.
“These days people appreciate talent and content. I feel that TV actors are treated equally and are apt for films. This was not the case earlier. They were not accepted by the audience. But in today’s scenario, people need content and talent. Undoubtedly, the practice for TV shows makes it easier to act in films as those actors who are doing TV shows are mostly working for 12 hours, and that’s enough to get trained,” he said.
Getting a role in a TV show isn’t a cakewalk either.
“The most challenging part for me was to get into the TV industry as I was just doing ads and then to crack a TV show, was the most challenging,” he said.
He agrees that it’s a bit difficult to find different roles on TV as after a point “we go through the same storylines and I feel we really need to break that barrier as the audience is changing and so should our content”.
