Two arm dealers held in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Acting on a tip-off, the Quick Action Team (QAT) of Commissionerate Police arrested two arms trader during a special drive against antisocials and criminals in Bhubaneswar Wednesday.

The QAT in association with Tamando Police Station staff apprehended the two accused identified as Raju Singh and Badal Naik on National Highway 5 near Behera Dhaba under Tamando police limits.

While Raju is a resident of Greenbadi village under Daringbadi block of Kandhamal district, Badal is from G Udayagiri of the same district.

One revolver, five live bullets, one empty case and two motorcycles have been seized from their possession.

Earlier during the special drive October 13, the QAT in association with Shree Lingaraj Police Station staff had also arrested another arms trader identified as Alok Kumar Sahu, a resident of Sikko village under Jatni police limits of Khurda district.

He was found in possession of one country made pistol and one live bullet. Besides, a Hero Honda motor cycle was seized from his possession.
