Bhubaneswar: Odisha government will host IAS officers’ conference February 14 and 15 ahead of the budget session of state Assembly, a source said Sunday.
The conference is going to be organised in offline mode after two years.
According to the source, the conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik February 14 at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
The inauguration will be followed by a presentation by secretaries on key initiatives undertaken by the state government. It will be followed by an interaction session.
The conference will move to Eco Retreat Konark in Puri district February 15, the source informed.
The first day of the conference will focus on themes like developing delivery mechanisms for crucial welfare programmes and government initiatives; quality healthcare, Mission Shakti, small-scale industries, crop diversification, use of scientific knowledge in the government system, and skill development.
On the second day, issues such as start-ups, MSMEs, improvements in school education, boosting rural economies through agriculture, developing tourism, enhancing the state’s telecommunication system, and providing banking services in rural areas will be discussed, the source added.
A presentation will be made by 5T secretary VK Pandian regarding transformations transpiring in Odisha as a result of the 5T initiative. Other notable speakers in this two-day conference are Vishal Kumar Dev, G Mathivathanan, Anu Garg, Satyabrat Sahu, Surendra Kumar, Sujata R Karthikeyan, and Shalini Pandit.
