Cuttack: Two persons including a woman sustained critical injuries after a mini-truck rammed into a shop near Bangalisahi here Sunday. Sources said the vehicle was employed for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)-funded sanitation works in the city.
Sources added that the incident occurred when the driver lost control and rammed the vehicle into a roadside shop.
The injured duo was rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital here and till the last report came in, their condition was stated to be critical, added sources.
Meanwhile, locals alleged that the accident spot has turned into a deathtrap because of the ongoing construction work. “Our houses have started developing cracks due to this underground digging work by JICA for laying the pipelines,” said an erred resident.
